Erin Kuhn
The following is from the Caring Bridge Website:
Erin was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a form of brain tumor. At this time the doctor's say that the tumor is inoperable and that radiation in conjunction with chemotherapy is the recommended treatment. She will be getting radiation 5 days a week in Omaha at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for six weeks and the chemo at the same time. We are hoping that the treatment will kill the cancer cells and reduce the size of the tumor to alleviate the current symptoms that she is having and it will to into remission.
She is a holding up very well and she is a real trooper, she has not complained once the whole time and is always very agreeable with everything going on! She enjoyed the powder puff game earlier tonight and being at home with family and friends and with the wonderful support group is wheat she needs to come out on top and enjoy the road to recovery.
